Baseball/Softball Fields
Practice: Practice for baseball and softball can begin immediately under the following conditions.
- Individuals experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms are prohibited from entering the activity location.
- Spectators (i.e. parents) are discouraged from attending practices.
- Coaches and managers must encourage players to maintain a physical distance of six (6) feet from each other except when unavoidable. This includes refraining from physical celebratory activities (I.e. handshakes, high fives, fist/elbow bumps, chest bumps, etc.)
- Players are encouraged to use their own equipment for play.
- Coaches, managers, and players are responsible for thoroughly cleaning all equipment regularly with soap and water or disinfectant.
- Avoid congregating in parking lot or elsewhere in the park.
Games: Steen Sports Park is actively preparing the facilities to host baseball and softball games. Games are anticipated to begin on or around July 1, 2020. The following guideline are in addition to the guidelines for practice above.
- Events will be limited to a maximum number of spectators equaling 100 individuals.
- Spectators must maintain a physical distance of six (6) feet from individuals outside of their immediate family.
- Face masks are encouraged when at or around each event.
- Each team will designate one person to be an event monitor.
- Monitors will be actively requesting that all coaches, managers, participants, and spectators are following the Park’s phase two guidelines.
- Coaches and managers will have a designated area to maintain physical distancing.
Bathroom and Drinking Fountains
Until further notice, all outdoor bathrooms and drinking fountains will be closed for the health and safety of Park staff and individuals recreating at the park. Please plan accordingly including being sure you and/or your little athletes have plenty of drinking water.
Concession Stands
Until further notice, all concession stands will be closed for the health and safety of Park staff and individuals recreating at the park.
Soccer Fields
Practice: Practice for soccer can begin immediately under the following conditions.
- Individuals experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms are prohibited from entering the activity location.
- Minimize Physical Contact.
- Training times set to maximize social distancing.
- No physical celebration between players (I.e. handshakes, high fives, fist/elbow bumps, chest bumps, etc.)
- Spectators (i.e. parents) are discouraged from attending practices (please stay in your cars).
- Coaches and managers must encourage players to maintain a physical distance of six (6) feet from each other except when unavoidable. This includes refraining from physical celebratory activities (I.e. handshakes, high fives, fist/elbow bumps, chest bumps, etc.)
- Players are encouraged to use their own equipment for play.
- Coaches, managers, and players are responsible for thoroughly cleaning all equipment regularly with soap and water or disinfectant.
- Avoid congregating in parking lot or elsewhere in the park before and after practices.
Games: Basin United Soccer Club is actively preparing the fields to host soccer games. However, at this point there is no anticipated date for soccer games to begin. The following guideline are in addition to the guidelines for practice above, for when games do resume.
- Events will be limited to a maximum number of 100 individuals including players, coaches, spectators, etc.
- Spectators must maintain a physical distance of six (6) feet from individuals outside of their immediate family.
- Face masks are encouraged when at or around each event.
- Each team will designate one person to be an event monitor.
